ABOUT _

                                                                     is an Innovation Challenge organized by Xartec Salut.

A 3-day event that brings the opportunity to solve real challenges that will contribute to improve healthcare and quality of life of people through technology. Our goal is to promote disruptive innovation through the generation of new ideas under open innovation methodologies in a collaborative ecosystem between students, researchers, patients, companies and hospitals.  This event is also intended to connect the talent with job opportunities from industry.

We look for passionate people in the HealthTech field with different profiles and backgrounds: from students, researchers, professionals, technology experts or start-ups. Programming is not required. You can join as insividual or by teams of 4-5. Any career is welcome!

VENUE_

the Innovation Challenge will take place at Campus Nord of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, one of the biggest tech campus in Barcelona, located at the North-West corner of the city.

In order to reach the Campus it is advisable to usepublic transport, Metro Line 3. There are two stations near to the Campus, “Zona Universitària” (Line 3 and Line 9) and “Palau Reial” (Line 3). Then you need to walk 8 minutes (600 meters).

Diana Ballart

CEO and Co-Founder of The Smart Lollipop

Diana Ballart is the CEO and co-founder of Smart Lollipop, a company that developed a smart lollipop to diagnose diseases through a saliva sample. This non-invasive medical device aims to make the diagnostic process, particularly for children and those with a fear of needles, more pleasant.

​

The company is focused on using the technology to detect conditions like celiac disease and high cholesterol. With a background in advertising and innovation, Ballart founded the startup in 2020 to create a more efficient and humane healthcare experience.
